SBG UK Manchester is the UK headquarters for Straight Blast Gym International. Based in central Manchester, it attracts mixed martial arts students from all over the north west of England. There are classes held 7 days a week in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Freestyle Wresling, Kickboxing, MMA and Submission Grappling as well as a junior martial arts program. The gym is the leading full-time Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and BJJ facility in Manchester.
The gym also caters for individual training with private lessons held every day in MMA, BJJ, Boxing, and Kickboxing.
SBG UK has hosted seminars with many top national and international MMA and BJJ instructors including Matt Thornton, the president of Straight Blast Gym International.

MMA Manchester & BJJ Manchester classes
It was over five years ago that I first found myself stranded in Manchester for a week. My girlfriend was stuck there with work, I had just been bitten by the BJJ bug and had some substantial redundancy burning a large hole in my pocket. I had two months before starting my new job and had been taking daily private classes from a top Brazilian BJJ instructor in London. I had also trained Mixed Martial Arts with Lee Hasdell, one of the UK's leading thaiboxers and MMA fighter at that time.
